This is another great song from Rick Pino! I play this also in G with a capo on the 4th fret (B). Depending on what other songs I'm singing either side of it, I will play it with the capo in different positions (I've sung it with the capo on 2nd, 3rd & 4th frets).

In the verses I play C & G; the pre-chorus (Your love is like the ocean...) is C & D; the chorus (Getting lost...) is G, C, with a run up of Em, D/F# back to the G.

If you ever get an opportunity, go to an event where he & his band are leading worship - awesome!

It's good to hear from you. Thanks for taking the time to write. I hope I've been of some help.

Every blessing,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for sending me the Doves
Eyes song with the chords and lyrics! I sent you a reply on the other e-mail address and I hope you got it. That was the first time answering any reply , so that's why you had received two . The first was my blunder, and the second was after my wife helped me . Anyway just in case you didn't receive it, I wanted you to know the reason . It's kind of interesting that you said you played the songs with the Capo on the 5th fret, because I thought that's what it said. That tells you how much I know about Roman numerals. Then I realized it was on the 4th. I like it better playing in the key of C so the 5th fret was better for me.
Mike, I was wondering what your thoughts are on another Rick Pino song:( Your Love is Like ) I got the Chords and lyrics off the Internet, and for the verse they use Em7-Bm7 which I can agree with , but with the Chorus-E-F#4 to me that seems like too different of a change. To me it sounds better in C-D on the word (Love )is like the ocean )and what sounds like would be a tag Getting lost etc.: instead of B2-E ,and E-G#m-F#/Bb-B2 I like using G-C-
Em-D. Anyway I have no disrespect for the way that it's put. I'm making it easier for me to play. What do you think?

God bless you ,

Your Brother in Christ,
Jerry a Harness

Hi Jerry,

I believe the song was actually written in the key of B, which I play in G using a capo on the 4th fret.

On this occasion, I moved the capo up to the 5th fret, so I could flow into the next 2 songs which are also played with the capo on the 5th fret.

The progression I was playing was capo 5, F (Bb) & capo 5, G (C).

I can email you a copy of the chords for Dove's Eyes if you want.

Every blessing to you!

God bless you! After reading about your Worship experience I agree that the Lord wants to let the body of Christ to know just how much He loves us .

I came in contact with your page because I was searching for the chords for Rick Pino's song DOVE'S EYES and in the process of my search , so here I am. You said in your letter something about Bb & C, is that the key that song should be played in? Thank you for your help!
